Gates are incompatible with louvred slats
Aluminium slat gates are incompatible with louvred inserts and cannot be used to create a secure gate. Change your slat spacing to allow a gate to be added.
Standard hinge and latch gap allowance
Our calculator assumes a combined hinge and latch gap of 40mm. Your hinge and latch choice may allow for adjustments to increase/reduce the sizes of these gaps during installation.
Supplied slats will be 5800mm in lengths
All Oxworks aluminium slats are provided in 5800mm lengths and will need to be cut to meet your panel length. You may also need to make delivery accommodations if you are unable to collect large items with your vehicle.
All mid-run posts cannot be an existing post (e.g. pier infills)
Our calculator does not adjust for existing posts within a run (e.g. pier infills). Instead, create a new run for each infill space and you will receive a total component list to cover all gaps in your existing fence.
Standard 50mm nominal gap under panels
All calculations and plans assume a minimum standard 50mm gap under each panel.
Total panel height is dependent on slat/gap choice
The total panel height can vary depending on your chosen slat and gap size. Our calculator will provide recommendations based on your provided height. For a list of all possible sizes, refer to our Slat Spacing & Height Matrix to find the closest combination to your desired height.
Optimal panel length for reducing waste
A panel length of 1930mm is the recommended size that minimises waste when trimmed into multiple pieces. All Oxworks aluminium slats are provided in 5800mm lengths and will need to be cut to meet your panel length.
