Our Design, or Yours

Our Sliding Gates can be manufactured to your specific design or you can choose from any of our sample styles. We are experts at manufacturing gates from any of our product range including the on trend architectural angle and face welded Radiator style gates, Aluminium Slats, Aluminium Garden Styles, Colorbond Fencing and even Laser Cut Screens. Each is available in a huge range of modern colours and sizes.

Made to Order

Built to Last

Our Sliding Gates are manufactured from 6063 T6 Aluminium and Powder Coated using Interpon Powder Coating for superior strength and corrosion resistance.

Sliding Gates are typically fabricated using 40 x 40mm or 50 x 50mm frames, with a design pattern to be specified. Gate Posts are required on either side of the gate and we can assist in the selection of appropriate hardware to suit the size and weight of the gates.

Setup & Operation

Sliding gates require several extra components for safe and reliable operation. Guide Posts are positioned at the back of the gate on either side; one to support the gate whilst it slides, and the other to support the gate in the closed position. The gate operates on an aluminium track, with 90mm wheels inserted in the bottom rail. The gate sits a total of 40mm from the ground so this needs to be allowed for when determining the gate height. See link below for detailed drawing on how sliding gates are typically set up and operated.

Packaging

Sliding Gates are fully packaged for safe and easy handling. Whilst powder coated aluminium is very robust, it is susceptible to scratching or denting during handling and transport to site. Oxworks is highly experienced in correctly packaging your order to ensure your order is transported safely and securely. We regularly transport pedestrian gates and components all over Australia and are the experts at ensuring your order arrives in perfect condition.

Cost of Sliding Gates

There are many factors that affect the overall price of the project, including size of the job, number of gates, size of panels used, configuration of gates, site access, change in levels or sloping ground etc. Oxworks will always provide you with an itemised quote for all components required to complete your project. Trade pricing and project rates are also available on our entire range.

Frequently Asked Questions

All of our Custom entry Gates are made to order to suit your specific requirements and colour choice. We can powder Coat your gates in any colour from the Interpon Colour chart. Surcharges apply for some colours.

Most designs can be customised to different screen sizes and shapes and can be fabricated to allow for onsite requirements. The designs shown are indicative examples only and its best to contact one of our sales staff to fully discuss the style and features of the Gate you require.

There are a number of fixing methods for feature screens. They can easily attached to the face of existing posts or if you want them between posts, we can supply colour matched angles to fix to. Another method is using small stand off pins to give your screen an extra dimension off a feature wall. We also supply panel frames which you can attach the screens directly to.

We manufacture Laser Cut Gate screens which are attached to the face of a gate frame 5mm smaller on each side to cater for the gate frames radius edge and to ensure the screen doesn’t sit proud of the gate frame edge.

This is the safest method of packaging and delivery of gate frame and laser cut screens. You can easily attach you screens to your gate frame on site using small tek screws or coloured rivets.
