Frequently Asked Questions

What Size screens do you stock?
All of our Laser Cut screens are made to order to suit your specific requirements. We have 40+ design that we specialize in
Can I have a design that’s not one of yours?
We have 40+ design that we specialize in, however if you require something that’s not in our range, we can work with you to create your own masterpiece. Design & drawing surcharges may apply.
What Colours do your screens come in?
All of our Laser Cut screens are made to order to suit your specific requirements and colour choice. We can powder Coat our screens in any colour from the Interpon Colour chart. Surcharges apply for some colours.
Why does my screen not look exactly like the example in the catalogue/on the website?
Most designs can be customised to different screen sizes and shapes and can be fabricated to allow for various fixing requirements. The designs shown are based on a ratio of 1:2 (i.e. 900 x 1800mm) so screen designs outside of this ratio may vary slightly to suit.
How do I attach my laser cut screens to a wall?
There are a number of fixing methods for feature screens. They can easily attached to the face of existing posts or if you want them between posts, we can supply colour matched angles to fix to. Another method is using small stand off pins to give your screen an extra dimension off a feature wall. We also supply panel frames which you can attach the screens directly to.
Why are my gate screens 5mm smaller on each edge than my gate frames?
We manufacture Laser Cut Gate screens which are attached to the face of a gate frame 5mm smaller on each side to cater fro the gate frames radius edge and to ensure the screen doesn’t sit proud of the gate frame edge.
How come my gate frames and screens aren’t attached to each other when delivered.
This is the safest method of packaging and delivery of gate frame and laser cut screens. You can easily attach you screens to your gate frame on site using small tek screws or coloured rivets.
Why do my screens have holes around the edge?
As standard, we supply all Aluminium Powder coated laser cut screens with 3mm fixing holes positioned approximately every 300-400mm around the edge (15mm in from edge). If you do not require these fixing let your sales rep know, however we do need at least one in every corner to be able to hang for powder coating. If your screen is longer or wider than 1500mm we may require a 3rd hole in the centre of that length to ensure the screen hangs correctly throughout the powder coating process. This powder coating requirement does not apply to Corten Steel screens as they require no powder coating.
Why is my Corten Steel screen not covered fully in a rust patina?
Corten or weathering steel is designed to form a rust patina when exposed to the elements. A layer of rust forms on the outer surface and acts as a protective coating. This process does take a little time to fully cover the screens. You can speed up the process by spraying a low PH solution on the screen like lemon juice or vinegar. The colour and extent of the rust effect depends on the elements it is exposed to, and will vary from panel to panel.
Can I use Laser Cut Screen as Pool Fencing?
Pool fencing regulations state that there can be no horizontal climbing member greater than 10mm within the pool fence. We can create Laser cut screens that having horizontal climbing members within them less than 8mm. We recommend contacting your pool fencing certifier to discuss how to ensure laser cut screens around your pool will satisfy Australian Pool safety Standards (AS1926.1 – 2012).

Gates will require self closing hinges installed to pool fencing regulations, as per AS1926.1 – 2012.
